Ministers of the new covenant!

Daily Ponder, Practice and Pass On God’s Word

Today’s Memory Verse:

Who also made us sufficient as ministers of the new covenant, not of letter but of the Spirit; for the letter kills, but the Spirit gives life.

II Corinthians 3:6

Today’s Bible Study:

Ministers of the new covenant!

What is old & new covenant, how does it differ from the other?

Covenant is a surety between God and His people, that if His people followed certain stipulations then they would be accepted as God’s children

The old covenant was of letters of the law, brought death, had a limited glory (passing away), was a ministry of condemnation, veiled the reader

But the new covenant is of the Spirit, brings life (eternal life), has eternal glory, is a ministry of righteousness, has glory that excels, the veil is removed, gives us liberty, to see the glorious image of the Lord to be transformed like Him

(for more detailed notes see: http://tmvtbs.webs.com/apps/blog/show/31992249-the-spirit-of-liberty-)

To do*:

Let’s

1. Trust in God through Christ who makes us all sufficient for the most glorious hope

2. Be ministers of the most glorious new covenant of the Spirit

3. Turn to the Lord and be set free by the Spirit of the Lord, to be transformed into the glorious image of our Lord Jesus Christ

Read II Corinthians 3; Romans 8:1;12;1-2; I Corinthians 15:50-58; I Thessalonians 4:17-18
